When is RYLA held?
RYLA 2010 will be between Saturday, 3rd July until Saturday, 10 July. This week falls in between university terms.

What happens at RYLA?

What are my obligations?
Your obligations before RYLA are:
Well...turn up to the bus stop with your bag packed!
Your obligations during RYLA are:
To come with an open mind, come prepared to learn and have fun.
Your obligations after RYLA are:
You will have just had the most amazing week and this would be thanks to a Rotary club or your work. It is expected that you will go to the Rotary club that sponsored you and share your experience with them at one of their meetings. It is your responsibility to contact them after RYLA.

What does it cost?
It costs the participants nothing to attend. A Rotary club or your workplace will pay for your attendance. The costs for Rotary clubs is $550 if paid before 30 April 2009 or $650 if paid for after this date and for corporate sponsorship the cost is $1250.

What is Rotary?

Is there an age limit?
The age group, to be used as a guide, is 18 – 25. There have been people older on RYLA but you must be 18 by 3rd of July 2010 to attend RYLA.

Is it ok to be scared?
ABSOLUTELY, not because there is anything scary happening but because we all get scared about the unknown, and you don’t know much about this do you :o)

Why won’t you tell me anything?
It is all part of the process. Some of the lessons come from your reaction to not knowing what is going on...!

If I have special needs, allergies or meal requirements what do I do?
Please make a note of this on your medical form. One of your friendly RYLA coordinators will contact you in the week leading up to RYLA to clarify your needs.

What do I pack?
You will be sent a packing list 2 weeks before the camp.

What time do we get back from RYLA?
You will arrive at the Mount Gravatt bus stop at: 4pm Saturday 10th July 2010
You will arrive at the Toowoomba bus stop at: 6pm Saturday 10th July 2010
